Oh My So Cute Kawaii

I must say that the Japanese really adores cute or “kawaii” stuff.

First Drama of 2009

I don’t know why this keep happening, but I keep on getting suck into the world of Hana Yori Dango. Maybe it’s the play on social class and how love can overcome anything - even Domyoji’s evil mother. Or maybe it’s the way the show presents the modern world’s definition of friendship: gains. With wealth being the lust of all times, the F4 characters in the story can’t help but only trust each other. Yet here comes little Maki Tsukino, a girl from wayyyy across the gem-encrusted pond.

I’m of course talking about the new revival of the HYD storyline currently being made in Korea under the title of Boys Over Flower. So far, the story mimics the Japanese drama a bit, but there’s still something different about it. The acting is a bit rough at the moment since many of the actors are actually new at this. However, the story is still there and that’s what important. What’s new is the way these new actors interpret their characters. Some are doing it quite successfully, while other can’t seem to get out of their shell. I’m going to try my best to stop comparing it to the JDrama and treat it as a new drama (it’s gonna be tough though). However, right now I still find the show very enjoyable.

Korean adaptation of Hana Yori Dango

The cast for the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango is finally revealed. Even though I am very familiar with the storyline at this point, there is still a part of me that’s wondering how they’ll do this. My hope is that they’ll add a new twist to the story while keeping the core elements like the F4 guys and the hard-working personality of the female lead.The new F4.

Don’t you think so?!?! Actually I already thought so while watching Hana Kimi last year, before I started this blog. When blogging about Zettai Kareshi I just suddenly remembered it.

It’s Mizushima Hiro. Haha! I’ve mistaken him to be Matsumoto Jun. Waah! My bad. They really look alike. But anyway, at least I’ve learned that Nanba Minami from Hanazakari no Kimitachi e is different from Domyouji Tsukasa of Hana Yori Dango 1&2. Hmm so much for that… Mizushima Hiro is also hot for me. Aside from being an actor, he is also a model. He’s fluent in English as well. Hot!

Sorry for all the late post. Didnt mean it. My internet line sux. So i can just add in a few things for you all to view. Its my favorite part of a drama called Hana Kimi or also known as Hanazakari no kimitachi e. In english it is known as For You in Full Blossom.
